Day 1: Hotel – Bangsal - Sugian - Medang Island

At 08:30 pick-up from your hotel in Senggigi or from the Gili Islands for a short transfer to the embarkation in Bangsal harbor Lombok’s Northwest where the boat awaits you for the adventure.  After the custom clearance, short briefing and final preparation, boarding and then start cruising to Sugian, a scenic place in the eastern coast ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Continued to Medang Island Island on a night navigation. Lunch and dinner on board.

Day 2: Medang Island - Moyo Island – Gili Banta Island

Morning arrival in Medang Island, fishermen village visit. Then leave for Moyo Island, a nature and marine preserve off Sumbawa Island, a place where the Late Diana ever spent some days is her life to stay in. This Island is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs, and home to wild pig, monitor lizards, various species of bats, and huge herds of native deer and hordes of crab-eating macaques. After a natural walk through the island to visit the waterfall where you can bathe, and then snorkeling, the boat heads to Gili Banta on a night navigation. Breakfast, lunch, dinner on board.

Day 3: Gili Banta Island – Manta Point - Kalong Island  

Snorkeling and beach relaxing in Banta Island, then leave for Manta Point where you can have a great chance to swim and snorkeling with Manta Ray. Overnight on board off Kalong Island where you can see the thousands of giant bats flying out of the mangrove trees in the afternoon. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board.

Day 4: Kalong Island – Komodo Island - Rinca Island – Labuhan Bajo

While having breakfast on board, leave Kalong Island for Komodo Island to start your guided soft trek along the natural trails to see the giant lizard of Komodo. Leave for Pink Sand Beach, one of the best marine gardens in Indonesia ideal for snorkeling. Continued to Rinca, another island in Komodo National Park where you will enjoy another exciting on a guided soft trekking through the savannas and the steppes with the possibility to encounter the more active Komodo dragons, various palm trees, wild horses, buffalo, and monkey and interesting fauna. Upon your arrival, transfer to Luwansa Hotel*** for overnight. Breakfast and lunch on board.  Dinner free at your own arrangement.

Day 5: Labuhan Bajo – Todo – Ruteng

After breakfast, leave for Ruteng on a 5-hour drive through the sinuous mountain road with en-route stops for photos. Visit the museum of Komodo, and the traditional village of Todo where you will have an opportunity to taste Manggaraian local food. Continued to Cancar, a village with interesting customary laws and the superb web-spider-like rice fields. Ruteng is a cool city with scenic views of the rice fields, about 1,000 m at the altitude, terraced in the green valley of Mount Ranaka (2,840 m), the summit of the island. Overnight at Dahlia, a simple city hotel with basic facility.

Day 6: Ruteng – Bajawa

After breakfast, leave for Bajawa with a stop at Aimere, the village of Flores traditional alcohol making of SOPI, made of the lontar palm juice. Bajawa is a cool town lies about 1,100 m at the altitude, surrounded by the active volcanoes of Mount Inelika, Mount Inerie, and Mount Ebulobo. Trekking to those volcanoes will give you more sense of adventure in Flores Island. Overnight at Silverin or similar.

Day 7: Bajawa – Soft Trekking

After an early breakfast, leave for the foot of Mount Wawomudha  Inelika to commence a two-hour soft trek to the crater rim on an gentle ascent through the coffee plantation and the planted forest of Melaleuca leucadendra. After a short crater tour, return to the hotel for refreshment. In the afternoon, drive to visit Bena traditional village. Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 8: Bajawa – Moni

Leave Bajawa for Moni, a small village at the foot of Kelimutu National Park on the eight-hour drive, with a visit to the traditional market of Bajawa. Stop at Panggajawa Beach, the beach of the blue stones. Overnight at Floressare Hotel/similar

Day 9: Moni – Kelimutu – Moni

At 04.00 o’clock, leave for the foot of Mount Kelimutu (1,640 m), to start the 40-minute soft trek to the summit. After enjoying the sunrise and the superb views of the three-color lakes while having hot tea and coffee served by the locals, return to Moni for breakfast with a visit to the local market of Moni. In the afternoon, visit  the traditional weaving textile villages of Mboli and Waeketo.

Day 10: Moni – Ende

Transfer to the airport for flight to your next destination.

It is necessary to arrange your travel in advance especially if you do not start your travel from Labuan Bajo in West Flores as you will experience different traveling conditions such as a limited amount of taxi counter or transportation, hotel counter and travel agent you can find at the airports.

Flores Island is an island for adventure. You cannot expect to stay at comfortable hotels inland except at Labuan Bajo in the western part of Flores. However the hotels inland are clean enough and good places to stay for one or two nights during your adventure tour. We try to find the best places to stay at each site visited. If you wish to stay at star hotel, you can stay at Labuan Bajo.


  • This trip is a low cost budget trip, so the on-board services (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the amenities) are very basic. Prior to  your departure, you will have time to do shopping for your own supplementary supply on board; purchase the beer, mineral water, toilet paper, snacks, etc.. 
  • To get a better and more comfortable adventure cruises to Moyo Island and Komodo National Park, you could consider to organize private trips either from Lombok or from Labuan Bajo Flores.
